Robert E. Miller , CPA, recently joined Sutton Advisors. Bob earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State University in 1972 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1974.

He began his professional career with an international public accounting firm in North Carolina, specializing in business and personal taxation. After six years, Bob returned home to Lansing, joining a national CPA firm as head of the tax department.

His clients included many of the well-known businesses and individuals in the community. As a result of mergers and acquisitions, Bob was the head of the tax department and partner or principal for three different firms during the years he practiced in Lansing.

After 48 years of tax compliance, planning, and problem solving experience, Bob joined Sutton Advisors in December of 2019. Bob enjoys listening to clients as part of a consistent process to address their needs and develop meaningful solutions.

He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
